A very good choice for beginner to advanced GBB-R user alike! The lower price tag helps to make this gun affordable, as do all the inherent cost saving, built in features like folding BUIS and integrated RAS. Also a great choice if you don't want to run an M4 or M16 like everyone else.

The MK16 ASC Light is currently in use with special forces groups around the world, including some in the United States. The base rifle is of a brand new design, not based off any particular preceding rifle. The controls are purposely made to mimic the M4A1 in basic feel and operation but with many major improvements:

The fire selector is now set in a "forward dominant" selection pattern, promoting easier fire selection between safe, semi, and full auto. Having the thumbed portion of the selector flared also helps to further facilitate the ease of mode selection on the rifle.

A flared and elongated trigger guard, as well as a more pronounced trigger help with trigger manipulation while wearing gloves.

All controls are now ambidextrous with the exception of the bolt release, located only on the left side of the rifle, which is the usual factory position on M4A1 rifles.

The charging handle has been moved to a forward position and is now ambidextrous (movable to either side of rifle) as well.

A collapsible stock allows for adjustment of length of pull, as with the M4A1, but also has a built in cheek rest adjustment to allow for a more positive, and comfortable, cheek weld. Not to mention, the rubberized butt-end of the stock helps to increase comfort, as well as helps to reduce the chance of the stock slipping while in fire position against the fabric of your BDU. Having the ability to fold out of the way for extreme close quarters utilization is an added bonus.

Windage and height adjustable BUIS (foldable aftermarket style sights are commonly referred to as: Back-Up Iron Sights, or BUIS for short) readily allow for usage of aftermarket optics.

The upper receiver and RAS are a single unit, providing true, uninterrupted rail space. Structural integrity and risk of breakage at the "barrel nut threads" is no longer an issue as this rifle design does not incorporate said weakness.

A takedown maintenance and disassembly tool is provided just above the barrel in hidden in the faux gas piston impingement system for added convenience.


All WE gas blowback rifles now feature the new "Open Chamber" gas blowback system! Completely redesigned hopup and nozzle system. Similar to a conventional "Tanio Koba" style gas blowback system, streamlined for high accuracy, much longer range, shot-to-shot consistency, lower number of crucial tolerances (potential failures) existent in gun, higher maximum rate of fire, more efficient gas usage, as well as allowing for easier modding and maintenance of internal components.
