Socom Gear's Novak Next pistol is a nicely made replica of Novak's famous 1911 pistol.

More of a no-nonsense 1911, it has upgraded highly-textured grip panels, a flared beaver-tail safety, and skeletal hammer. The trigger is of a more traditional dimension, not as extended as most three-hole skeletal triggers found on many "tactical" 1911's today, providing a more classic, compact feel, and a threaded barrel attachment for standard barrel accessory mounting such as dummy silencers and the like. The lack of a front frame-rail offers easier holstering with less friction into today's modern rigid-molded carry-holsters. A feature also "missing" from many modern tactical pistols is an ambidextrous safety, resulting in a lower side to side profile and sleeker appearance.

Last, but not least, this pistol boasts realistic, handsome, full trademarks via licensing agreement with Novak, and a very aesthetically pleasing, polished Novak logo medallion inlay in both grip panels.
